Diese Auszeichnung wird an herausragende, führende Mitglieder der technischen Communities verliehen, die ihre wertvollen praktischen Erfahrungen mit anderen Menschen teilen.
Diese mehr als nur erfreuliche E-Mail erreichte mich am 1. Juli.
##Was ist ein Microsoft MVP?
Ein Microsoft MVP ist ein Ehrung, die jährlich von Microsoft verliehen wird und steht für “Most Valuable Professional” – oder zu Deutsch “Höchstgeschätzter Experte”.
Auf diesem Wege bedankt sich Microsoft bei Entwicklern, die ihr Wissen und ihre technische Kompetenz in Form von Vorträgen, Büchern, Forenbeiträgen oder Blogartikeln – also allgemein einer freien Community-Arbeit – anderen zur Verfügung stellt.
Weltweit gibt es circa. 4000 MVPs, wobei Deutschland etwas mehr als 120 MVPs stellt. Für den zusammen gefassten Bereich ASP.NET / IIS gibt es – Stand heute – 8 MVPs in Deutschland und ca. 250 Weltweit. Der Kreis ist also sehr klein.

In his professional role, he designs and builds highly scalable platforms for hybrid and cloud-based scenarios. He also advises companies and C-levels on migrating to the sovereign cloud.
