Microsoft hat am Donnerstag den zahlreichen Wunsch erfüllt und angekündigt, dass .NET Runtime Updates auf den Windows-Client Versionen ab diesen Dezember mit dem Windows Update ausgeliefert werden und nicht mehr manuell heruntergeladen werden müssen!
Zukünftig werden also die Monthly-Updates im Update-Center von Windows auftauchen, in denen auch die sonstigen Updates von Microsoft Produkten (auch Windows selbst) aufgelistet werden.
Dies ist ein weiterer Schritt, dass .NET Core sich auf den Client-Geräten verbreitet :-)
PS: Microsoft hat entsprechend den Artikel aktualisiert und betont, dass für die Server-Varianten von Windows die Updates wie Admin-gewohnt über die entsprechenden Tools WSUS und den MU-Catalog kommen werden.
